There was a little girl - playin´on a field
(wind blowin´through her hair)
I was hiding behind a willow-tree
(she didn´t feel the stranger being near)
Saw her pretty little dress, flyin´in the breeze
saw the smile on her pretty, little face
Unawhare of what was going on
that she was a child on a killin´field...
Mary...
I - branches and leaves gently swept aside
(tender whispers in the trees)
She turned - and she saw me standin´there!
(a moment, Sir, to seize)
I asked her name, strokin´her soft across her hair
she told me - her name was "Mary"
Just like a princess dancing on a meadow
just like a little story-book fairy...
Mary...
She - wondered who I was - and I told her!
I told her - I had a surprise...
"We´re gonna´play a little game on the meadow"
"gonna´play, little girl, that you´ll be dead..."
Her eyes just teased "what a funny game!"
as my fingers touched her neck...
She didn´t scream, Sir, it was funny...
I could do all the things - that was in my head
